Hi,
I signed up with the free broadband deal, with the virgin mobile sim only deal, with the then virgin.net last year. This had a 6gb download limit. With the new deals being unlimited downloads with Virgin media. does that mean the 6gb limit for me no longer applies on my current deal. Has anyone checked with Virgin to confirm this? Cheers for your help. Lee |

If your connection is broadband over a phone line then the Virgin Net Acceptable Use Policy now states a monthly download limit of 40GB per month. This they refer to in their advertising as "unlimited" which seems a strange use of the word. In my opinion 40GB is extremely generous but it isn't unlimited.
Sorry, I haven't reseached the situation if you connect via the cable television network. John |

if your on the cable bbi with virginmedia then there is no download imit as you are using the cable network. adsl gets hammered and buy "traffic throughput" on the exchanges it utilizes. hence why adsl gets a monthly allowance and cable does not.

Sounds like you were on "Plan 2" broadband...This has now been phased out and replaced with "Unlimited" (40gigs a month).
