I'm down for TalkTalk essentials - told they estimated I would get 7MBs.
Never got even close. Tonight I get 300kBs!! Changed filters, checked cable, router....definitely problem external to house. After a long day at work, I really can't be bothered with a crap call center,,,,, looking for a TalkTalk person to look into this & email me... PS. The line level is set so loud that it breaks through into telephone conversations. Suggest the problem is contention related and poor connections on the local loop.. (I'm electrical engineer).. |

When I joined Talktalk at first I too had very low speeds. I'd advise joining the Members Forum and post the information requested here The OCEs are very good and much less hassle than phoning.

Why should anyone have to post information that TT already knows? Seems like nothing more than a subtle ploy used by TT in order to discourage users from complaining about a terrible ISP and their pathetic service. Is it too much to expect that the service should would out of the box?

If you have tested all filter phone and router combinatoins but your still getting noise on the phone line from the router we need to investigate further. We request customers join the Members Forum as we have more ability to support your issues on the TTMembers Forum. We need ot check account details and run some test, raising this to the network teams as appropriate. Googly - We offer the Members Forum as a matched contact. There is no obligation to join as customers can still call us email or send a letter. however the OP clearly stated they did not want to call and by offering the Members Forum as support this provides a matched contact method to the original issue i.e. a web forum.
