There are a lot of registered members to TS (over 4000), but a lot of them have never posted at all, surely these unused accounts are taking up unnecessary space on the webspace? Maybe if an account is not used for a certain period of time (maybe 6 months?) it should be removed...

We generally don't delete accounts unless the owner asks us to, this way we avoid upsetting people.
The accounts are held in a database, and to be honest do not take up much room at all, certainly nothing that would trouble the server anyway. It is possible to write seom code that would do what you suggest, but it's not really an issue so it's never been done. 'Slo |

Maybe some stats of active and non-active posters would clarify the situation
Imagine if all 4000 suddenly started posting regularly!

June 14th, 2004 49 ![]() Sil PS, it's hard to know which accounts to delete, since sometimes peeps do return after a long break,. the amt of space taken up on the server is v small for each account

204 different posters posting in 2 weeks is good!
the 4000 members is a bit misleading
