Friend borrowed by van did 41 miles and broke down, AA claim water in the diesel, but will not say how far they would expect van to travel from water entering tank to packing up.
Friend claims did nothing but drive and is therefore not responsible for bill to tow and drain system. Anybody any ideas how long engine might run with water in diesel tank as I can't imagine it could be far all help and advice gratefully received. Simong |

Friend borrowed by van did 41 miles and broke down, AA claim water in the diesel, but will not say how far they would expect van to travel from water entering tank to packing up. if so how full was the tank when it broke down? Has the van been stood for a long time between uses? Has any fuel been added from a can thats been stored for sometime? There are so many "possibles" this one is going to be hard to prove one way or another......
