www.phillwatson.talktalk.net .... 1 document uploaded, index1.htm, total size 0! I may even have deleted this as all you get is a blank page (which is correct if there is nothing in it!)

I've done that for both phill.watson and phillwatson and now phill_watson. None of them seem to finish. Can you reset them all so that I can start again with phill.watson? Or do I have to call support?

No good. The file I am uploading does not finish, or if it does ends up with nothing in it. Each of these display fine on my machine, and have already appeared elsewhere.

I am using a BT 2WIRE wireless router to connect. Where can I find the appropriate settings for this?

Similar problem with IE. I was connected to TalkTalk via another computer. I was able to log in to my webspace via the computer connected directly to TT. I guess connecting via a wireless router might be a problem too.

Sorry, the settings for any router are on another thread, titled 'talktalk.net could it be this bad' ... but here they are again!

Vpi: 0
Vci: 38
Primary dns: 62.24.199.13
Secondary dns: 62.24.199.23
Encapsulation: pppoa multiplexing vc-mux
Auth: – chap
MTU: 1400

In case you do are not aware, a router will contain up to three different circuits/functions, all joined at the hip...

1. A DSL/Cable modem that connects to the Internet Broadband, using the above settings, and your username and password as supplied by your ISP.

2. A wired network hub or switch, that allows more than one local PC to connect to a local area network through your router. This has nothing to do with your ISP and ony cares about PCs connected directly to your router via network cables.

3. (Optional) A wireless hub/switch that allows local PCs to connect to a local area network (exactly the same as 2 above) using wireless network adapters in place of wired network cards and cables. This again has nothing to do with your ISP or the connection to them.

You could if you wished buy all three of these things separately and connect them all together in your home. Only the DSL/Cable modem part connects to your Broadband internet.
