HELP PLEASE - All my pix have changed format

Hiya.

Underneath the repy window is an option to attach certain files.

EG. Manage Attachments button, click that and browse to the file, click on the file then upload it. There is also a sample of allowed file extensions above the Manage Attachments button.

EG. jpg, txt, etc

I couldn't somehow get that screenshot in picture format so sent it by email to myself and then tried to save it and it wouldn't save! It said the system can't find the file specified.

Which was the same bloody problem which got me here in the first place.

Thanks Johnny. You and the others have done their best. I will try to contact my pal who fixed the drive in - trouble is I had a damn great row with him the other day!

And I'll check your advice with the leads etc.

You said the MP3 disk started to work through a media player etc, what happens if you just go to My Computer, right click on the dodgy drive letter and select Open from the context menu, does that show the files ?

Now when I put the mp3 disc in I can't get it to play! Sigh....
Certainly no panel asking me which media to play in pops up and when I open players to register it they won't play it.
And when I right click on the dodge drive letter as you suggest I get a completely blank page.
It's certainly a weird drive - maybe it's haunted. I am very much into UFOs and the like- it's probably possessed by some alien.....

Well it sounds like dirty lenses ( Some drives and/or discs are very sensitive to any discrepancies) or the drive is kaput.

At the end of the day, its like £15 - £20 for a new one, I could buy 5 - 6 of them now for what I paid for some of mine.

A blank page, again means it cant read the CD and usually takes ages to respond.

Maybe your friend cursed it for the row you had the other day, heha.

Check the cables anyway, you never know.

I can afford £20. I somehow thought it would cost a lot more than that.
Meanwhile I get the disc to clean the lenses just in case.
And check the cables
I don't suppose there's any way of sending you a mince pie as an attachment is there?

That is a basic price of some that I have looked at on an online shop that is local to me, they can indeed cost a lot more and there are many more shops, online or high street sales outlets that you could obtain one from, PS. Dont get mugged by P C World, lol.
