Default Nokia problem

When I try to imput a + in front of an overseas number it just will not activate. I have tried holding down but all I get is the other symbol which is *
I understand that instead of using the + an alternative is to imput 00, would appreciate info on this please.

correct, a + sign is just short for 00.

Without knowing your model number we cannot assist on why you cant get a + sign. on my phone i hold the 0 key to get a +, it's probably different on different models.

Many thanks your response. Its a Nokia 5700 XpressMusic. The + and * symbols are on the botton left hand key. Now you have confirmed that 00 is the same as + I can get along with that though there must be a way of getting the +.
Thanks again.

Hiya.

Didnt you get a manual with the phone, maybe its on the CD that came with it, in PDF format.

I quickly found one online and this is what it said for Making a Call

Page 21.

■ Make a voice call

1. In the standby mode, enter the phone number, including the area code. Press
the clear key to remove a number.

For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the +
character replaces the international access code), and enter the country code, area code (omit the leading zero if necessary), and phone number.

2. To call the number, press the call key.
To adjust the volume during the call, press the volume keys.
