Hi all.
My girlfriend has been using Photobox.co.uk for ages, but now for some unknown reason, she cannot access one of her photobook "creations" which she was half way through making. She can sign in, and preview the unfinished book book she can't edit it and add more photo's to it. We have spent over 2 hours chatting to two separate photobox employees using their "live chat" feature and have gotten nowhere sending them emails which they use to send some semi-automated responses too ![]() i.e. which browser are you using. Have you updated JAVA etc, which we already told them! We have Windows XP with Service Pack 3. Internet Explorer 8, the latest Google Chrome and the latest FireFox. We have the latest JAVA updates, and FLASH updates. We have tried clearing our cookies, closing the browser and then re-opening and logging in to their site. Yet when we click on the title of her book, it puts up the "green star with a face" icon a the "please wait a few seconds" message, then it just goes round and round and round. Come back half an hour later and it still won't load. We haven't done anything to the PC she is using. The two separate photobox staff have opened it at their end, and after one of them passed it onto to their tech dept., wrote back saying there isn't anything at their end and to try on a different PC........ Strange thing is, when we tried in the library, it DID work, then the whole library network crashed! She also tried it on a friends laptop with a dongle and it worked...... Why does it load on these machines but not ours??????? We have totally uninstalled JAVA and FLASH, then reinstalled them, but to no avail. She only has a few weeks left to finish this photobook as it was prepaid. How can her PC suddenly not work with their site? Anyone help please ASAP? It must be an adobe FLASH problem as when you right click the green "please wait a few seconds" star, it comes up with Adobe FLASH player properties. I can't access it at work, but that's purely because I don't have admin rights to download and install software and this work PC has an out of date FLASH player ![]() ![]() WINDOWS XP, IE8 plus the latest Google CHROME and FIREFOX, and all FLASH and JAVA versions are upto date. Interesting I noticed the wording "Cupid studio" on the page..... must be their flash/ActiveX software.
