just need to know if my line capped and what i can do i am adsl max up to 8 meg and i only get 576 down and 288 up had 5 bt ppl out and they say i should get 4 meg ok plz help

those 576/288 would sugest your not on adslmax but a fixed half meg line

log in to your router and look at your line status it should show sync speed.

Adslmax have an upload sync of 448 or more if on a llu

Fixed rate ie. 512 / 1 / 2Mbps have an upload of 256

Have you plugged it into the test socket on the master nte5 to see what you get there?

Just tell them your not on adslmax as your sync speed is only 576/288.

If your out of contract with them tell them your leaving and go with another company.

As Scoobs says telling them you wish to leave is normally the only way to get them to take your problem seriously.

I live in a small village a long way from the exchange but even so get a sync speed of around 3776 which gives me a working download speed of around 2 - 3.5Mb, but it's much slower in the evenings, often moving to a new provider does not help if you are stuck on a long line with no LLU but in your case you should be getting speeds more in line with what I get, if you don't get any change from AOL moving provider might be the only way to get the speed that you should be getting.

Thats good then your on the max sync rate for adslmax ip profile should be 7150 for that sync as your not interleaved.
