![]() Hi Ive just joined this forum my name is john, some people call me johnboy. like the one in the programme waltons mountain because they think I look a bit like him and have the same kind of tempriment, Any way enough about me. I noticed quite a few of you have talked about Tiscali. Well I think they are totally inadiquate, so have left them .I am taking a letter to ther officies in soho, as it is not to far for me to go. and If that does not work , I will take it to milton Keyns. which won't be to bad as my son lives in Luton with my grand son so will kill two two birds with one stone. I have now joined virgin media hope they are better. What I did was Cancel Direct Debit after I paid Last one. What I will do is not pay any more money to them and if they want to take me to court they can . Because it may get some of the money back I paid them for such a crappy service.I hd no problem changing over to vergin as I was once with NTL. so still the cable box in my house. so virgin just notified tiscali, and I did not need a mac code. which is sometime what you need to change providers. by for now johnboy. |

Therefore, you will personally need to inform Tiscali that you are cancelling the service, otherwise you will be legally obliged to continue payments to Tiscali as well as Virgin Media. |

The only thing I will say here (noce to meet you too) but even though Tiscali (now TalkTalk) may have been in breach of Supply of Goods & Servies Act 1982 for not cupplying you a service that you pay for using Reasonable Care & Skill does not give you the right to cancel paypment right away.
Letters to them trying to get them to put right what is wrong would have been the way to do it, and then if they refused court action through the small claims track. It would be then down to a judge to decide what is fair and reasonable. Cancelling your payment has put you in breach of your contract and as a result Tiscali (TalkTalk) could persue you for the remainder of the contract and if they can justify this to a court then also persue you for damages. Two wrongs do not make a right sadly.

I don't see what that has to do with the subject being discussed in this thread.

I think 'victorjhon' is some form of posting bot / spam posting thing,. likely needs account deleting
the original tiscali post at the top is from 2009, not sure why it was never replied to, hopefully johnboy is well shot of tiscali by now
