I'm running XP home on my system, which is a 1gb P3, 192mb ram, I have 2 hard drives 1 of 10gb and 1 of 40gb
My C drive is 3gb with partitions of 7gb and 40gb Recently When switched on from cold the pc stopped no errors at all. I punched reset and in booted, checked event viewer, no errors at all. Now it freezes randomly and the only way to release is to press reset. if I boot from cold it can take 3 attempts to get it to boot, but even then it still freezes for no apparent reason. It does seem to try to update escd on some occasions. on a succesful reboot it does try to checkdisk d: which is the 40gb partition, but doesn't find any errors. My graphics card is a 32mb geforce2 gts, I've got the latest drivers from nvidia, and it's been scanned for blaster and welchia. hellllpppppp. I'm going up the wall. |
