Default Getting rid of Talktalk

Friend of mine was hoping to get a new deal off TalkTalk when her old deal ended. But all the scum at talktalk did was put her on a monthly rollover package.

Think this is really disgusting and didn't think that talktalk would have stooped so low just for a few extra pounds.

Now all she wants is to get rid of this ISP asap.

Could she cancel this rollover package by email or snail mail and how please.

They can raise their prices but that doesn't mean you get a better service or even value for money.

No need to use such harsh language about a normal business transaction whereby TT have offered a rolling monthly contract in lieu of your friend signing up for another year's contract. She can leave TT by giving a month's notice of moving to a new ISP, it's quite straightforward. Do check what sort of cancellation rules apply though, she may need to phone rather than email.

If TalkTalk had followed the correct procedure they should have offered her a new package before dumping her on a rolling contract. She would if she could phone talktalk but for some reason known only to talktalk her phone is not working and she is unable to make incoming or outgoing calls.

Can't she call from somewhere else? Or use a friend's phone?

Why on earth should she? She has already paid for a service that TalkTalk has failed to provide. But i'm willing to bet anyone that talktalk won't fail to bill her for the telephone she was unable to use. Anyway she has now signed up to another ISP and wants nothing more to do with the likes of talktalk again.

Sorry. I was just offering a solution to the problem of her not being able to make calls from her phone.
