Smile Anytime is flying along on the number they gave me

Having made the transition over to anytime from unlimited I used the number they gave me and all was fine then on Sunday, no access. Visions of Internet paralysis loomed just like the two-day shut down on unlimited I had earlier in the year. I complained this morning and they gave me a few numbers to try. On of which has increased my connection speed by Over 20%. If any one cares to use the number email me at thatgoodnumber@thethoeryofish.co.uk

while i am genuinely happy for you, can I just ask here if as an ANYTIME customer, can i dial-up using ANY of the "ANYTIME" numbers (if that makes sense) ?

i would love to try a different one but am terrified i will get a nasty phone bill for calls made using a different one

Bill
I was given the list of numbers by freeserve as alternatives to connect to anytime. I should think that means no surprise telephones bills as they all connet to anytime. though reading the conversations about the numbers available, it would appear people are getting different results. the 33006 works fine for me. i have set up access on the the numbers. if you do the same you can change connections at will, and get the best speed going at any particular time. beware not to connect to the old unlimited or standard numbers as you WILL be charged for them.

Good luck

42667bps right now. Best ever modem speed on my system.

Could be also that on returning to BT (from WOL) arrangements were made to increase the gain on my line.

thanks for mailing me the number, pity it's total ****e for me

when i say that, I mean it as bad as the one I normally use.

now i know why megatsunami got so ****ed with it all.

surfing the net used to be fun, not any more with this dire connection.

have freeserve and BT conspired against all net users in the Manchester area ???
