Am using the normal VNC across my network at home (with no real probs), is the tightvnc much better?

I only recently discovered the VNC program and have been using it over the internet on a TCP/IP connection without any problems. I have now installed tightVNC and find it quite a bit faster than the original.

I have not tried it yet as I only found it just as I was about to go on holiday - just got back tonight!
