Default Thread for special effects on photos

I enjoy taking a photo of something, and messing with it to give it a different perspective.

Here's one I took today as we were driving along Kingston Lacy. I love the gothic feel of the trees this time of the year,, but wanted to give it an even eerier feel.

Here's the same pic, but given a special effect for mood.

I do use psp7 alot,, I have adobe photoshop, but haven't really messed with it much. This effect came about after sharpening the image up a bit, clarifying it, and just a quick solarize to the strength of 11. I have been working on fixing some old photographs,, will try to show some of them later.

Well the end result certainly looks good tebs. I have PSP7 too but apart from learning how to do the basics with it, I've never ventured much further - might be a bit more inspired to try a bit harder to learn it all now after seeing what can be done

Just remember to use a copy of your photograph, and keep a copy of how it looks in it's orginal state. Don't be afraid to expirement, it's the only way to learn, but warning,,,,,,,,,,,it's addicitive

Was just thinking that it would make a lovely picture to embroider
too - not that I can! - anything that can't be done on the computer is a no-no these days - or almost!

sometimes you learn alot of neat things when you are bored, and just messing around with stuff. That's how I learn to do stuff with psp anyway I am a terrible student,, but I am great at stumbling onto things
