Default 24-7FC The New Deal - More info

When will the service be available?
24-7Freecall will launch this service on Wednesday 20th June 2001. You can register here to ensure that you are amongst the first to take advantage of this new low cost service.

How much will it cost?
The service costs £14.99 per month for access to the Internet at any time. There are no call charges and no other set-up fees. You can choose to pay an annual fee of £150 and make a saving of around £30.

Will the service be available all over the UK?
We will be able to service 95% of the UK from July 2001

How will it benefit me?
You will get access to the Internet at any time of day or night in return for a small monthly fee. You will not be charged for calls so NO more high Internet telephone bills. Your subscription takes care of all connection charges. You will not need to worry about peak or off-peak times as this will make no difference. In short it is freedom to surf the web for just £14.99 per month.

Who can use the new service?
Anyone with a BT line can use the service. We can’t accept any cable customers at the present.

Do I require any special software?
No. All software is standard and available on the Sign-Up CD or automatically downloaded when you sign-up online.

Do I require any special equipment?
No. If your PC is able to access the Internet now or if you have purchased a PC in the last two years, you have no need of any specialist equipment.

Will I have to change my current phone number, install a new line or put in a new phone dialler?
No. When connecting to the Internet your PC will automatically dial through to the relevant number to access the web completely 'toll-free'. There are no installations or new lines or new telephones to be put in and you can keep your current telephone number.

Can I introduce my friends to this service?
Yes you can do just that here. For every 10 of your friends or family who sign-up to the service you will get a month of FREE Internet access.

Can I stay connected all the time?
This is not an ‘always on’ service and is not intended to support continuous or unattended Internet access. There is a ‘idle’ cut-off after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is necessary to allow all subscribers to access the service.

Will you have a forced cut-off after a set number of hours?

Which browsers do you support?
Currently we support Internet Explorer 4 & 5 and we will be shortly be supporting Netscape.

Which email clients do you support?
Outlook Express 4 and Outlook Express 5.

Which operating system do you support?
We support Windows 95, 98, 2000.

Do you support ISDN?
Not at the moment.
