Default Stange order problem when trying to change to BT broadband

Im about to order BT broadband option 3 as im cancelling my ADSL 24 LLU connection and have my MAC code from them?

about to order have input usual details:

Phone number

But im at the end of the order process and havent been asked for MAC code

Also it seems other ISPs (O2) arent asking for a MAC code either i quote:

we dont always ask for a MAC code, but if we need it we will contact you, have you ever heard of this when migrating as i havent?

A MAC code is used by your new provider to take over your existing connection.

The process is a little different if you are on, or moving to an LLU service. Just call your your current provider and ask for your MAC code.
If you are moving off LLU you may not need a MAC code but you could be charged a full reconnection fee.

Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migrati...orisation_Code for a better explanation.

Edit: forgot to mention.
In general, it is a bad idea to cancel your current connection. Better to use a migration code to avoid reconnection fees.
