Thumbs up Re: Split Outlook PST file

You can split PST file in both ways, manually as well as by using professional PST Split software. But before you can purchase any such paid software, you must try the manual trick first. Microsoft Outlook has few built-in features and functions which can be used to move mailbox data from one PST file to new PST files. Read the blog post shared below for detail information:

Easy Way to Split PST File into Multiple Smaller Parts | N. Sem's Blog

Before you can try the manual tricks shared in the above blog post, you must take backup of your PST files. If the manual tricks fail or don't work, then only you should try professional solution for splitting PST files. I hope the shared information would be helpful here.

Thanks and best regards.

Users can split PST Files by following the below mention method

Create a New PST file, File>>New>>More items>>Outlook data file
Save this newly created file to a directory
From Mailbox select folder to move (Inbox, sent items, Drafts)
Under Move items select Copy to Folder
Move to new PST file you created earlier
By this way, we can reduce the size of PST and move data to new PST files or else they can go for some reliable PST Splitter Tool like I have mentioned.
