i am having real difficult getting the internet.
my computer "takes longer than usual" when connecting to a network but once connected does not have my internet globe. i have ran in dos the netsh etc but to no avail. the comp is an inspiron 6400. What other info do you need from me to diagnose the problem further? any help will be MASSSSSSSIVLY appreciated |

I assume by wireless internet you mean you connect with wifi (not a 3g modem etc)
Always try to connect wired (ethernet) first. If wired works then it is a wifi problem. Then connect to the web interface on your router and check the wan interface status for dsl synch, ppp internet connection to your isp etc. For DSl connection problems; do the test at that BT test socket. If you need further help. post back; Your ISP and type (dsl or cable) You router make and model Output from a dos cmd of commands ipconfig /all ping 4.2.2.2 |
