Default This is probably a really basic question

.......but how do I past a picture into a thread? I can see that I can insert an image from a URL, but if I wanted to paste a screenshot from my PC, for example, how do I do that?

Thanks.

to capture a screenshot press the 'print screen' button on the keyboard - normally at the top near the middle (next to scroll lock)

once you have captured the screen shot you need to paste it into an imaging app, then save the file, then use the attach image option

that's the general plan, if you don't have an imaging app I think there's free apps that allow you to screen capture and save as gif or jpeg

perhaps, I'm not sure,. you need to be able to save as jpeg or gif, it's so long since I looked at paint - I think it only allows you to save as a bmp type file?

you should be able to paste the screenshot into paint tho to look at it

Irfanview works pretty well for this sort of thing (allows basic manipulation of an image and will save in various formats). Or if you want something a bit more advanced there's The GIMP.

Paint will do the job ok, it allows files to be saved to a variety of formats including Gif,Tiff,Jpeg, Bmp etc. Anyone with an HP printer will have a useful built-in facility to do this in the software.

Hi. I had a reply from Worldlife in my inbox but for some reason he is not showing in the thread?

Worldlife - I did what you said in my other post originally, using the attach image icon. This put IMG around the URL but when it appeared in the thread I had the URL text where I wanted the image and the image at the end of my thread.
