All I see is lurkers????

General chatty was always traditionally a vibrant forum?

Very sad that all the people using the forums for advice don't post, it wouldn't hurt the 167 guests to pop in and give us their twopenn'eth.

I can remember my first post on the original ezboard Scream.
I had lurked and read for months so that I didn't make an idiot of myself with such accomplished posters......oh well!

I remember marvelling at Scunners use of graphics to adorn his signature and posts and how awkward I felt asking for help when my knowledge base in the subject was just slightly above zero.

I learned by reading informative posts by Silver and Ian and probably Merlin if my memory serves me right (amongst others).

Perhaps a Welcome forum might help, with basic instructions for new posters, who want to dip their feet in the shallow end before swimming with the sharks?

For some reason (I really cant see) in August the traffic increased by about 50% (from 8 - 10,000 page views per day to 12 - 15,000) And this does seem to have lead to an increase the amount of posting on the forums

Which is nice

Ok I am back again, so what have I missed . Still no pool table, . Where has all our free time gone, it seems that nowdays the moment we have time free from our daily work, there is a list of other jobs to catch up on. .

I now have to go fix a leaking sink, so will try to get back in a while.
