Default Recommended furniture websites

I've just bought a flat in central London and now need to furnish it. I'm looking to rent it out at some point in the near future so don't want to spend too much.

Can anyone tell me some good websites to browse? I've already looked at Argos, Home and Ikea. Just wondering what else people would suggest?

I need furnishings for virtually the whole place so all suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Personally, I prefer Ikea for most furniture, but it all depends on what type of furniture you're after as to the best places to go.

Argos are cheap, but there's a good reason for that - they ARE cheap and don't tend to last. I wouldn't reccomend shopping at Argos for Sofas or soft furnishings, but otherwise they are generally OK.

Have you checked out Asda? They have some decent furnishings at reasonable prices. I haven't bought from them so couldn't tell you quality, but they have stores dotted around everywhere so you could always go look for yourself.

Harveys are good too. If you can catch a sale (they have them often) then you tend to get some bargains!

The best advice I can give is to shop around and see what you can find, but always try before you buy.

Many thanks for this. Yes, I've heard Ikea is good for things like drawers, basic tables, etc (provided you're happy to construct them yourself, which I am).

A friend also recommended Next for sofas, so I might take a look at them.

Thanks for the tip re furniture auctions.

I would suggest that trying out a website like I have had some real nice furniture from there including leather sofas, tables and chairs.

If your after wardrobes and that kinda stuff then maybe some flat packed bolsa wood from ikea would suffice (depends on how many clothing items you have)

Cant hurt to check it out anyway

edit - do you understand the signup form where it says we don't allow spam - take it elsewhere
