Exclamation forum members homes searched

opps..

German police have carried out their biggest ever crackdown on internet piracy in probe against 126 members of an online hackers' forum.

The Germans are thought to be part of a wider network of 476 people in 33 countries who were members of an internet forum called Liquid FXP.

They hacked into internet service providers to gain access to film, music, computer software and games, then offered pirated versions for downloading.

According to Germany's federal criminal office, police carried out 132 search warrants against suspects on allegations of computer sabotage and hacking.

Investigators followed this up with a further 337 warrants enabling them to search through the computer data of companies and institutions linked to the hacked servers.

The probe was sparked by an investigation into one member of the forum on suspicion of credit card fraud.

Police said members of the forum discovered 11,820 servers worldwide with security gaps.

They would hack into the system and install their own server, which would then enable them to download what they wanted.

Serves them right, sorry but computer hackers are not on my favourits list. If someone purchases music/ video and wishes to share it then OK ( the music companies are ripping us off daily) but hacking computer systems is a no no in my book.

They rate on the same scale as the W.....s that send a virus out.

Hackers..... Why wots the point, why would anyone want to cause complete havoc, for the victim it nothing but agro trying to sort it out, while some "teenage spotted kid" as an example sits around giggling at wot they have done, whilst finding there next victim.
Having been subjected to a serial hacker for about six months, until i got them banned from the ISP they where using. I know how it feels. ARG!!!! it so annoying, i was spurting every profanity going

Of course, Sky News know the definition of a hacker right?
Hacked into ISPs to get films, music, software and games eh? How many ISPs store all the latest goodies on their servers then?

I used to be a member of an FXP team and it's patently obvious that Sky News and the German Police are talking out of their backsides! Still, why let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Does anyone actually know what FXPing involves?
