Default sound card not detecting

sir,
with respect i an unable to find my sound due to i have replaced my hard disk so plz help me to find my desktop pc's sond..

If you KNOW that there is a sound card installed, is it correctly located in the slot, and is the correct driver for it loaded ?

As you have had a new disc drive you will have had to install everything. Check control panel - system - Device manager. Are there any yellow exclamation marks? If so try right clicking and choose update driver you may find it sorts itself by downloading the appropriate software after a driver install. I have seen this many times. Windows does not always have all the appropriate drivers for motherboards so you may have to find out what yours is if this does not work and get the missing drivers from the manufacturers website support section.
