To repair PST file, you can try the Inbox Repair tool aka scanpst.exe. But this built-in utility only works if corruption is minor. In major or severe corruption cases, it may fail to repair PST file. In such situation, you must try a professional PST repair or recovery software. Recovery is needed when we're unable to access Outlook email files which Outlook saved in PST file format and mostly it happens from corruption.
