Question Nero Problem

I upgraded to version 6.6.0.8 of Nero and appeared to have no problems creating DVD and report that creation and verifcation went OK.

Not sure how to interpret log but Nero Log said

If I put DVD (I use DVD+R blanks) created from images or copied from other DVDs into either of my PC's DVD drives they are detected as CDs and are not able to be read.

If I use DVR+RW I have no problems - PC sees it as a DVD in both drives.

Bought DVDs and DVDs that come with magazines are read by both drives.

Both drives using Nero have no problems creating CDs.

Drives are Panasonic DVR-107D and Lite-on Double Layer DVDRW SOHW-832S

I upgraded to Nero V6.6.0.12 and still got same results.

Can anyone help - it is costing me a lot in blank DVDs?

Default Re: Nero Problem

Try using one of the clean up tools to remove all traces of nero then reinstall.

http://www.nero.com/eng/Utilities.html

Also you can turn of windows own cd burning software go to control panal / admin tools / services / find IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service and disable it.

Have you installed any other cd/dvd burning software

Default Re: Nero Problem

Have turned off WinXPs internal burning service. Have upgraded firmware on drives to latest. Have tried writing at all speeds with no success. Have tried four different brand of DVD+R media.

I am going to try uninstall and clean then reinstall. My problems only began when I did first upgrade. I had other burning software prior to that and had no problems.

Thumbs up Re: Nero Problem

There is a bug in it. My Nero directed me to the upgrade via a Microsoft error message. Upgrade to 6.6.0.13 here (32.26Mb).
