Default Slow slow fast slow slow stop slow fast..

Thats how my internet seems to run.

It's slow, then slower, then it might suddenly be fine, or stay slow, so i reboot the router and then its fast again, but after awhile it will suddenly be slow again.

Sometimes downloads and internet page's start to load and then just stop, caused me to have to restart/reload it, and then it will either be fine suddenly, not load or be very slow.

Its really annoying me now, sometimes its just unusable.
Dial up would be faster!

And im on 2meg connection!

Its disgusting how poorly treated talktalk customers are, i wish i never changed, but its so much cheaper! haha.
I can see why its cheaper now..

Anyone else getting this problem?
Or can i fix it in anyway?

I worry it is either my PC, as sometimes my mums latop works fine, however sometimes its slow, but my PC is constantly on...

But i cant find any virus's etc on it.

and my router (netgear DG834G) worked fine with my old internet connection.

So is this talktalk?

Have you checked that your router has the latest 'firmware' ?

Sorry I can't help with problem but I have the same type of thing. During the day, talktalk internet is fine. From 6 to about 8.30 its appalling and after that it improves. I often can't connect. I am supposed to be on 2 Mpbs. I know nothing of technology but suspect too many people are using too little hardware. could this be so?

It's more lkely to be the contention ratio at the local exchange.

I am also suffering from slow slow quick. However a friend how has also got talktalk got BT to change his line in, so that the router connection is now the first point and not an extension. I don't know the details but apparently its made a big difference. Has anyone else made this change.
