Default Copy and past prob on message board comments

Over the years the good old Scream has often provided an answer when nobody else could.
Fingers crossed.
In Internet Explorer I can't copy and paste into Facebook.
I can C and P into the start of a 'story' but it doesn't work in the comment panels below - keyboard shortcuts neither..
The prob is only with Toshiba laptop for weirdly on HP main compie it works and it's from the same modem.
Also C and P works using Firefox.
Any ideas please guys - is Silver still around?

What version of IE are you using, and do you have any private browsing filter invoked ?
What about the general security level set in Internet options, is that interfering ?

But I'm non techie so we'll have to go thro this slowly.
I have found I am using IE11 and I went into Internet Options Advanced and found Browsing and I noticed Disable Script Debugging IE and Disable Script Debugging (Other) is checked - though I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Please tell what I'm looking for and where to find it.
Do I have any private browsing filter invoked? How would I find out?
Sorry to be dense but it's my 73rd birthday today and I struggle with this stuff.

Maybe enable compatability mode first and see of that works for you.
Happy Birthday by the way
