Default Free CD burner progs?

I'm being dragged kicking and screaming into this technology and am trying to copy CDs
I'm told I need a CD burner program of which "there are loads of free ones out there"
But when I search Google it takes me to paid for progs, porn sites, E bay or blank screens. Any ideas anyone or do I have to fork out dosh for this.
All I need to do is copy CDs - nothing fancy. Thanks.

clone CD
EZCD (Easy CD) at Roxio
search for those names or come back
And there indeed are tons of them out there; search the Scream for detailed discussions!

Thanks folks.
I found another one:
http://www.cdrom.com/spotlights/burnquick.php
and downloaded it and have managed to copy a CD now - my first ever.
As it happens a panel which popped up saying I needed Adaptec came up the same as before but this time I merely clicked out of it.
So I don't know whether I already had adequate software anyway or whether my new download swung into action.
Now to remember what I did......so I can do it again.......
