Between the "ongoing weight loss" (OWL) and "lifetime maintainence" and have only lost a few pounds over the last few months.
Rarely have bread, biscuits, rice, pasta and the high carbohydrate foods of my previous lifestyle. Read today that the salads I now enjoy at McDonalds are being sold by them at a loss. It's alleged that the idea is people will feel they are coming into a healthy food environment and consequently continue to buy the burgers !!!! Well I hope I got the McDonald's policy statement right ![]() Feel fantastic on what I will anticipate to be my Atkins Lifetime Maintainence Nutritional Plan. My most substantial carbohydrate input is concerned with keeping the bowels working well - a helping of All Bran!!!!!! I did not worry about my cholestrol levels when I was two stone overweight and if I had a problem before I started the Atkins Plan I am confident it has been reduced or is non-existent. What Atkins says about this issue is......... Isn't doing Atkins bad for your heart? On balance I feel certain that the loss of weight and removing junk foods from my diet has had very positive benefits to my health. It's clear that a junk food menu and overeating is harmful. The indication so far is that the Atkins plan is helping people to lead healthier lives. Hope this is helpful

Worldlife, just caught it, slow, that's me. i am one of those lucky ones, no matter what I eat, I remain at 9-1/2 stone, have done for years, but then I get called skinny, so what the hell does it matter. What is important is how you feel. we are none of us perfect (apart from Tia, who is) we're to fat, too thin, too short too tall, we are what we are, and should be happy with that. Be happy worldlife.

Greatlover........ was reasonably happy with my obesity
Decided to reduce weight on health grounds. So many folk around me were being affected with diabetes and I didn't fancy ending up giving myself daily injections ![]() It was not so difficult and I am even happier with my reduced weight and healthy food menus. |
