since 1994 i had a mobile phone. After each year i cancel my contract and go onto one which provides the best deal. Have been with T-mobile, vodafone, orange and 3 (very poor service). As you have gathered they have been yearly contracts. Last time i was with orange was in 1998. Credit checks were done and i passed.
My existing contract with T-mobile is due to end and i have tried to obtain a phone on Orange network but was refused after a credit check. When i asked about 3 network and T mobile i had passed both checks but i didn't proceed with the order. The question is how does Orange do their credit check. Who do i need to speak to at Orange to see what is happening. I have already order my credit score report from Experian who orange uses. i have no bad history with credit payments etc etc |

if you keep checking your credit (i.e. applying for stuff etc) that counts against you in the short term (least that's how I understand it),. perhaps that is what has happened ?

just had my report from experian (credit check company). As expected my record is clean. When i rang them up they said there was nothing wrong with my history but for some companies they reckon i have too much credit available. It is advisable to close the accounts that i no longer use.
what has happened is that i had done up my house and instead of paying using cash i used a credit card which was offering 0% interest for 6 months or so. I paid the minimum amount each month and before the 0% offer had expired i had applied for a new card with 0% free period and transfered my balance etc etc. Never did bother to close my old credit card, it was put in a box which said 'just in case'. i have three young devils which need clothing etc. When you shop at Adam for example they invite you to take out their store card and receive a discount. Once done and when i receive my statement i pay it in full and cut up the card. the same applies when you buy furniture, tv etc using the shop's interest free period. The account has been paid up in full in the interest free period and forgotten. Since the account is no longer used it is still active on your credit history data. my advice is cut back on unwanted credit cards, close any old shop interest free accounts etc for a clean trouble free credit rating. guess who is going to have an aching wrist..... ha ha by writing letters i mean |

Back in 2005 when I was attending collage and doing this course
Things were going great for me and I Was enjoying this course , One day I Went into collage and I Wasn't feeling very well and started to become very ill . No one actually saw this I Was becoming very confused and forgetting where things were. One day I Left collage and went into town, and went to the carphone warehouse and I Had no intention of going in there! So I Had a look at the phone I Had my eye on for months:l And someone came over and asked me what I Wanted and what contract I Wanted With, And I Didn't have a clue what was going on, and we talked about the phone and the contract So they asked me if i had a debit card on me and I Said yes so they asked me some questions and basic things like address etc And they would put that in there system and then they asked what was my date of birth? And I Said that was 18 when I Was just 15! And they they done the credit check on me and I Was accepted and I Walked Away With The Phone! Went I Went home my mum said to me how did u get a mobile phone on contract? and she wasn't yelling at me and she was really worried about me at this point, And the next following days it carryed on for the next couple of months, So i would have a new mobile phone every single day of the week and then my mum was getting worried and she was going mad! The next following days I Became very bad and Went Really Bad And Went Futher IntoCredit. And Had More And More Goods! At This Time As My Condition Was Getting worse my mum took me to a doctor and then I Had to go and see someone and I Was having a metal breakdown because of my famly, And it landed me into £5000 Of Debit at the age of 15, And I Had to move away in September 2008 to get better and get out of the house, And I Wanted a nother contract at this time i was 18 and i wanted a nother phone contract! so i was declined on all of them as i was online and saw this page called you pass mobiles .com and i applyed and they accepted me on orange with a pink samsung f480 for £30.00 and i done this on my dad's address! And he wasn't happy about it ! I Was paying all the bills on time and when i moved back in 2009 i rang orange and changed my details over and i went online and kept adding mobile phones to the same account!: And this carried on untill i had the new iphone 4 with orange and with the highist of £50.00 per month and then my dad said to cancel it and get rid of the iphone, and i done that And the bill went from being £30.00 £10000 and I Never paid it off, And Then In september 2010 i went into banckupy at the age of 20 to get rid of the debts and since that has been going on and it has just finished and i cannot get a contract anywhere and orange would only let me have a sim only deal, and that was a rip off what i was paying for So at the age of 22 I have no more debts but i need my credit score back up from where I had it in 2005!

I Have had enough with orange I Think they are Very strick & Tight when people apply's to them for a full contract! I First joined them in 2008 and I Was accepted for a full contract with a handset, And I Had to apply though a company called you pass mobiles to get it. And from then on I Used to add new phones onto that same account and ran the bill up to thousands. And I Applyed to them again this year and they declined me for a full contract and offerd me a sim for £20.00 per month and with 300 minutes and unlimted texts and it wasn't worth it, I Have now changed to T-mobile.

Since august this year i took out a orange sim deal as i was declined for a full contract!
I placed the order though dialaphone after i placed the order with o2 . They gave me 500 minutes and unlimited texts for £20.00 a month for 3 months for 90 days. i was accepted straight away and i had it deleiverd in a few days! Since i have had the sim i have paid every bill on time and never missed one payment And back a few months ago i made a big mistake and moving over to t-mobile and i got my mum to pass the credit check in my name and i shouldn't of done it And when i logged back into my online account i found out that i was able to upgrade and i tryed and they wouldn't let me untill november! And orange has been very good with me and now they are going to upgrade me to a full contract in two weeks time and they are also giving me something called magic number and i have placed a order for a iphone 4s 64gb with unlimited texts and minutes for £61.00 and £30.00 depoist witch is very good deal My best idea to do is pay every bill on time with orange and they will upgrade you in 3 months 90 days on a sim deal and that is what i have done and now i am upgrading in 2 weeks!

Since I Last Posted On This Form I Have Had Problems With Orange Trying To Upgrade To A Full Contract
I Rang Them Up Sometime This Month And Asked When I Could Upgrade To A Iphone 4s When I Rang They Said The 9th November 2011. And Then I Waited And Then Rang Sometime This Week And Then They Said The 10th November 2011 And They Said To Me That They Cannot Acess The Upgrade Screen On There Computer Screen And I Have To Wait And They Just Couldn't Be Bortherd To Do It They Would Rather Make Me Wait Anyway's I Went To My Local Orange Store On The 4th November And They Said That They Can Upgrade Me And I Asked For The Iphone 4s And They Said That They Never Had None In Stock! And They Only Had The 8GB Iphone 4 And I Really Didn't Want It Because I Know For A Fact That I Won't Fit All My Music On etc And Then They Rang Customer Services While I Was There And They Said The Same Thing. And They Just Added It To My Account As A New Line And I Was Accepted And Had The Iphone! But I am After The 4s 32gb And Since I Have Been With Orange For 4 Years I Will Get One For 100% Sure!
