Default Old Arcade Games

Hello.
It may sound a bit sad but I used to use some old Arcade Games to cool my brain down. One in particular being called "Gem Drop" which I used to run from a site which has subsequently blocked access.

I have found a tacky, "Super Gem Drop" version but the old, original one with its background "Gamelan" music was just great.
If anyone knows where I can acquire this game and any similar items please let me know.

Radish

it's possible there's an arcade emulator around and the original code for that game,. didn't look as yet

also, if the game was ever released for a home computer you might look for the emulator + game for that platform

Sil

edit - looks like it was available for the atari and there looks to be free versions around - just need the emulator - should be easy to find http://www.google.com/search?q=Gem+Drop+arcade+emulator

Thanks Sil.
I've been into one of the sites you recommended and down loaded some files for Tetris but this computer doesn't recognise them.
Being a bit of a Coffin Dodger I'm not too familiar with all the computer jargon so may have to get back to you if that's ok.

Regards

Thanks for your help Sil.

That last suggestion of yours worked fine.
It's different to the old one I used to play but still helps to clear the brain.

On the subject of brains.
While I'm picking yours. Do you know of a suitable FREE Spell Check system that I can incooperate into this lot.
I've downloaded "ieSpell" which says "Free Download" but as soon as I tried to run it they wanted me to pay some money. Surprise Surprise.

Hiya.

Do you mean ieSpell from here, Version v2.5.1 (build 106)....

http://www.iespell.com/index.htm

If so, it is totally Free for Home use, what you are seeing is the ieSpell Options window with the Enter License... Buy Now, etc, that is only for Companies/Businesses.

If you are replying to a post here and want to check the Spelling in your reply, right click in the reply window and select Check Spelling from the context menu, it will then scan the reply for mistakes and offer an alternative word/s, etc, or click on the abc icon on your browser toolbar.

Jonny Rebo

Thank you for your timely intervention.

I've followed the instructions and the system has efficiently corrected a few spillage mistakes.
