Hardly had time to walk mine with the torrential rains here. Lovely update pics. He's so cute. Would love to have seen him kissing the cat.

Awe! How awful for you both. I got caught in a downpour today, no lightening, thank goodness, it does not seem to bother my dogs, although they wait to be towel dried when we get in. After I've sorted myself out and they stop shaking themselves and splattering me.

Well all it seems we are back on track with the little monster called......"ALFIEEEE"

We've just got back from the French Alps, riding our mountian bikes and little Alf' stayed with my mum!! lol.It seems he wasnt to well behaved lol but my mum isnt that a great dog training person!!,but she does try .

Well we took Alfie over to the new forest and he had a lovely time running in and out of the stream,as he has found new level of confidense in running/playing in water,to which we enjoy watching him do so .

Here are some new photos' of Alf' who is now 5 months old and he has also started to loose his puppie teeth now,we keep finding them every where.

We managed to find him a little bandana in camouflage in France, which also goes very nicely with his green rain coat,oh god please help me lmao!!!!

Enjoy,we do

Wow! He look so proud to be wearing his bandanna in the first pic, a good pose. I hope you had a lovely time in the Alps. I'm sure mum did her best for Alfie. The new forest sounds like so much fun. I love to see my dogs run and play its very rewarding.

All super pics and a lovely update.

Default Re: Alfie, jack russel pup

Here we are again....little Alfie has been out and about with us and on this day,Bracken brought "Sil'" along to The NewForest show...
http://www.newforestshow.co.uk/
As it turned out the previous days ran left the show ground a little muddy to say the least!!but as we had come prepared with wellies this wasnt a problem or was it ?? ?? no! Brackens owner "Sil" hadnt lol so he spent some time jumping over pools of mud or just taking other routes LMAO!!
As for Alfie he was loving the mud, running and sitting in it lol he did end up with some muddy legs and bum!As the day went on the sun did start to dry out the mud and life walking from stall to stall became easier for Sil' ! lol
At one time during the day we made our way to watch some Terrier Racing http://www.craft-shows.co.uk/attract...errier_Racing/ .If ,like us you have never seen this it is hilarious !! They put four dogs in a starting box and then they chase a piece of fur attached to some string which pulls it in to some sand bags to stop them from hurting themselves!! in this video they have put some fences up for them to jump, which is still very funny to watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Riruj1Olx4 .
With smiles on our faces we went off in search for ice cream,im not sure who it was for us or Bracken lol as he had Alfies and his own .
During the day we showed Alfie cows sheep and ducks, all the things to ready him in his life......and also tractors hehee which he was a little unsure about but he soon came round and wasnt too fussed about!
We had a small pitstop for food and drink for Alfie and Bracken, which Alfie showed Bracken who's food it was lol " not Brackens " lol, we had never seen this in Alf' before and found it a little bit amusing as his character is really starting to shine through.During our pitstop it was mentioned that Alfie should try his luck at the terrier racing! So off we went to wait for the races to start and enter our steed lol little Alf'. After some breef demonstrations of proffensional terriers it wasnt long till Alfie took to the starting box!!!......Then when the string went tight and the piece of fur moved the race was on!!!!!!!!!.........................or was it ????????? ..................nope! lmao Alfie ran straight to his right and off around the arena not knowing what to do!!!!
This brought our trip to the show to an end.We left for home....or was it ?? nope again!!! we were going to try Alfie out with some local camping .
We went home got our tent etc and went off to a small locals only camp site near Studland beach. On arriving we chose a pitch and tide Alf' up and set about putting our flimsy home/large kennel up lol.All went well to say the least,Alfie had eaten way too much....BBQ sausages and chicken mmmmm his fav' .So he left us to fend on our own as he went to bed at 7.30pm to start his beauty sleep, well he had walked for around 7 hrs at the show and watched us put the tent up lol.The night past well for Alf' as he stayed half in and out of my sleeping bag most of the night and woke us up at a good time of 9am with some loving kisses.
Due to the weather we are getting at the moment we decided that we leave the camp sight for a breef walk around Swange and head home before we got wet .

Here are some little photos of our Champion Racer LMAO...

heh cool

can jus see bracken poking his head out from behind alfie on the 2nd pic

bracken likes country shows,. so much going on,. but part of the deal is he must have an ice cream (generally he wouldn't be allowed such things!),. so eventually after much nagging we stopped to get him an ice cream,. alfie got one too but wasn't keen - luckily bracken stepped in to prevent the cold treat from being wasted

been busy latley, but we took Alfie to FUN doggy show in aid of the http://www.isleofpurbeck.com/marggreen.html , All tho' they said "FUN" lmao there were so many people there who were taking it too damn seriuosly ,but we took Alf' to see if we could enter him into one or two classes !! we got him into three.... Best pedigree puppy, most handsome dog and best condition! wow three and we walked away with not one prize in Best pedigree pup a scruffy/dirtylooking JR beat Alf' !! we could'nt understand it....well we did have some smiles there, even if we never spoke on the way home LMAO !!!
I did take some photos, but due to the really bright sun they all came out too bright to fix ......so here is a linky to a website where a chap was taking some photos'
http://www.moodzphotoimaging.co.uk/12_08_07_MGDS/1A.htm

you will see Alfie numbers 1 , 13 , 14 man he looks good

he has also grown some little round things at his rear!!! and this has caused all our training to go down the pan but we will ride through his teenage moments and push forward, lol past all the young lady dogs' out there
When he does consentrate on his training he will heel off the lead, lay down from a distance and wait for his next command(well thats all if he doesnt sniff something nice )

Wow! What a champ he is. Well deserved. He is looking grand, hope he gets over the teenage years. Which is a good time for fun and he surely is having some.

Lovely update, Richfury,

hay all....

been busy with life and Alf.....so we had our first christams with Alfie and do believe he had more presents then the pair of us!! not surprising really as he is spoilt rotten...

so as for alfie latest he has had his family jewels removed...lol he was a man dog and has calmed down a little ... which seems to be great with his best mate...Jeff our young male cat to which they love each other beyond belief.
his doggy lessons have still been an on going task..he is now in the silver/gold class and progressing slowly but surely.
During all his walks we tempt him with water skills....fetching sticks, treets etc and has been performing well , even to me giving him a little nudge to going in the deep parts of his fav' river and going under the water lol .
so ine or two photos of alfie and presents for you

(ive not edited any photos as i forget to post here and just remembered lol)

more in the next post..

thx all,i do think that the little man is somewhat spoilt lol.

just a thought but my Alf' isnt eating your regular tinned/dried dog food,he is on a diet known as B.A.R.F,which means Bones And Raw Food.
Basically he eats all his meals raw! from chicken wings including the bones to raw liver and so on.To supplement his diet he also has raw mashed veggies eggs(shell aswell) and fish for his omega3 !

Why do this????
Well it goes back to when there was no Tesco/asda shops and the dog killed its own food and would eat everything from the kill(including the stomach contents((Veggies)).
What do we get in return....well.....clean teeth no tartar staines also no bad dog breath,clean/smooth coat of fur, good skin, better muscle tone all this should add upto Alfies chance of getting cancer less likely .Also less Vet visits.

I love to preach this to other dog owners/lovers as i can see the benifits to changing the diet.Alfie was a little difficult when we tried to feed him as a pup, always turning his nose up at every kind of food dried or tinned,so we tried this on him and it was an instant hit.
Expensive ! ? not at all we get bags of frozen chicken wings and breast tins of mackerell and raw eggs , plus we bulk his dinners out with some pasta ,but we prefer rice as it takes longer to burn off....but can cause a little bit of constipation lol.

so give it a go or do same homework!! esp' if your dog is bored of dinners...
here is a link to Q & A for you http://www.njboxers.com/faqs.htm

Thanks for link. I will browse, one of my dogs is too tubby and cutting down food has not helped, a veggie diet might help as he is getting on in years.

glad to help twinkle
we have to keep on Alfies diet since we had to have his family jewels removed lol as male dogs can balloon out of control!
i cant tell you how much rubbish they put into cats and dogs food... i mean would you feed your dog a lump of charcol ?? no and neither would i !
