News! Changes to our terms and conditions

Email received from Tiswas yesterday.
Dear MR ******

Changes to our terms and conditions

We are writing to let you know that we have made some changes to the Terms and Conditions associated with our products. These will take effect on 1st June.

1. We have combined the Terms and Conditions for our broadband, voice and TV products into one document to make things clearer and easier to find.

2. We have made some changes regarding our network and platforms, which will allow us to continue to provide you with competitive offers and quality service.

3. BT is introducing a broadband cancellation charge to all broadband providers whose customers cancel without a MAC (Migrate Away Code). We have therefore amended our terms to include this charge for any cancellation where a MAC is not used. Please note however, Tiscali will always offer a MAC to any customer cancelling to go to another provider and therefore in the majority of cases we are pleased to say this charge can be avoided.

Click here to view the new full terms and conditions.

Kind regards,

Mary Turner
CEO
Tiscali UK Ltd

Hi Gem,

I think you'll find that the new Ts&Cs only affect those signing up AFTER 1st June. Those valued customers () that signed before 1st June are still bound by the original Ts&Cs.

Reluctant as I am to defend Tiscali in any way, the new Ts&Cs do in fact only apply to those who sign for Broadband after 1st June
Tiscali Broadband
Read the [old] terms and conditions for your Tiscali Package including Broadband Services if you subscribed before 1st May 2007.
and
For new customers [of Broadband] from 1st May 2007 and all customers [of Broadband, Talk and TV] from 1st June 2007 the following [new] terms and conditions will apply to your Tiscali Package including Broadband Services.
which can be found here

else live with it : )

Failure to object in writing is automatic acceptance of the new T&C
(I'm an ex Tisc customer - this has been their way of introducing new T&C for quite some time)
