Hi,
I rent a house, previous tennant moved out, BT phone bill went unpaid (in last tennants name), not sure if its been cleared yet, number is now not in use when dialled, no calls will dial outwards, but still connected (with dial tone). phoning 17070 confirms im connected and the phone number, the ringback option didnt work though... my exchange is LLU enabled, and BE are in that exchange. Can i be sneaky, and just sign up on the BE site with the old phone number? There was ADSL / homehub here when i moved in, but ADSL has since dropped off the line... Am i right in thinking that once BE go into the exchange to connect my line to there box of tricks (For adsl2), bt can go swivel? Or after some period of time, is it likely BT might physically disconnect there line? I recon id get away with it, or am i dreaming? Ive asked Be but i expect there support wont get back to me until monday. Id happily pay Be a premium for line rental, as long as it was minimal or at cost, otherwise i might aswell spend a little extra for the 10.50 month bt line (but then have to wait for all that aswell, need internet ASAP!) Cheers in advance, |

It will still run though the BT jumpers before it leaves the exchange no matter whos llu stuff is in there.
So if a cease order is out it will be disconected at the exchange, unless BE take over the line i dont no if they do line rental deals etc. |

Well BE confirm that the minimum requirement is BT line rental, and didnt offer any sort of line rental package.
Ho-hum , i shall go and sign up with BT, whats the bet they try and charge me 125quid to connect! |
