Far Cry 2

Anyone been playing this?

The first time I played it, I wasn't too impressed. It felt like a bad console port.
After doing some exploring and a few missions I think its great!
You can become distracted looking at the scenery and zebras.

My favourite weapon combo is
Primary: svd
secondary: Uzi
Special: Rpg

Agreed its a good game, the 1st one had a better storyline for me.
Still, its a great game even if it is a bit to easy

I Thought the first one was great and I was looking forward to the second but I have not got around to getting it yet.

I have heared there have been a few problems getting it to run though so I thought I would wait a few weeks first.

I'm waiting for Nvidia to get a new driver out. They do have a beta out that lets the game run perfectly on my system, but it doesn't allow me to configure my displays the way I want; so I've gone back to the old driver (with which the graphics stutter badly).

Looks promising, though I'm not keen on the way the map obscures your view when you have it open.

looks an ok game,as does endwar another ubisoft title,unfortunately they don't finish their games before they release em,hence patch after patch,that don't address the real important issues for the end user,cause in my experience on ubisoft games they don't give a dam,i have purchased 2 games tom Clancy's rainbow six Vegas and Vegas 2, both these games have some major bugs (faults) with them Vegas,is now no longer supported by ubisoft they never fixed alot of things that lots of players had complained about to ubisoft,and Vegas 2 is at times unplayable, as it for no apparent reason will just quit,displaying an error message "General protection fault history" to which there is no ubisoft solution that works,if it was not a ubisoft game i may of bought it

*edit* BTW: I upgraded to the latest driver and had the same problems with the displays... until I accidentally right-clicked on one of the monitor icons and found the option to clone them (so they both display the same thing) - the help files kept telling me to drag the one I wanted to clone onto the other, which didn't work. Still haven't got back to FarCry 2 though - been playing the new Call of Duty most of this week.

well i may not have fc2 but i can tell you that the ubisoft server will be offline on sunday22nd feb 2009 so no online play again as this will affect most of their games,is what happens when everything must connect through a main server based in Canada,

far cry 2 is an interesting and adventuring game.
I Played it many times and I really enjoyed it.
