EMERGENCY PROCEDURE INVESTIGATION INTO AMBAVOX AG
26 November 2008
PhonepayPlus has invoked its emergency procedure to investigate complaints relating to a parcel delivery mailing which encourages recipients to call a premium rate number to re-arrange what the promotion states was a ‘missed delivery.'

We have written to both Atlas Interactive Group, the Network Operator, and Ambavox AG, the Service Provider, setting out our concerns.

On 27 January 2009, PhonepayPlus wrote to the service provider notifying it that a fine of £30,000 and administration costs incurred as a result of a case heard by a previous Tribunal on 18 December 2008 had not been paid
The following cases were heard at a meeting of the PhonepayPlus Tribunal on 18 May 2009

Service Provider Ambavox AG, Austria

The Service Provider failed to comply with the refund sanction imposed by the Tribunal on 18 December 2008. PhonepayPlus, therefore, formed the view that this contravened the PhonepayPlus Code of Practice 11th Edition Amended April 2008 (“the Code”)
it looks like Ambavox has told Phonepayplus where it can stick it's code, refunds and fines.
