contacted orange and told them we want to close our account with them as we were moving to talk talk. we had had a letter from them saying that their monthly charge was increasing by around £15 a month!so naturally wanted to change companies and try and save some money we did this on 26 june, the orange operator said yep fine we will send you a mac code and an envelope for the livebox. changeover when well, then discovered that orange had charged me a months fee for 12 july 09 to 12 august 09 the changeover occurred on 9 july, orange could not provide a mac code as there was some issue to do with the bt line? we arent even with bt! anyhow we rang orange up regarding them still charging us their monthly fee still and they said they had no knowledge of us wanting to change to talk talk!! i got an email from orange con firming we were changing companies! which ive kept luckily! the operator was really rude and said that we had not followed procedure and that we hadnt asked for a mac code! and that they would be charging us £24 to disconnect! we cant beleive that they can do this to us! we informed them we were changing companies, dont mind being charged the months fee but to tell us its our fault and we didnt follow procedure? eh? anybody had same problems get in touch

apparently talk talk sorted the mac code out naturally as thats how the change over happened
