Hey all,
Firstly let me say hi and yes i have bothered to read 10+ posts from other people before posting this. I have an issue with my internet I'm begging to give up hope. I am with BT and have been for many years. Ive had a BT voyager 2100 Router for ages and had top notch speeds then.... since the begging of this year speeds have been terrible. and in some cases we have been without internet for 3 days at least twice a month. So i ran India BT who read from their script and insult your intelligence.... Nada. Finally after months of complaining an Engineer came round on Tuesday this week. Wow what an old router so he replaced it with BT HOME HUB 3. Nice i thought, he did his tests... no problems he says give it a couple of days. I play online games and our internet..... makes it non existent to download a patch it his a max of 30kbs, playing games ping is well over 1k in some cases it has hit 2 or 4.... I use speedtest.net ping 854 download rate 0.04 most 0.84kbs and sometimes it wont even connect to speedtest.net times out.... i run a BTtester. this is the result. Download speedachieved during the test was - 791 Kbps For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 800-2000 Kbps. Additional Information: Your DSL Connection Rate :1496 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 863 Kbps(UP-STREAM) IP Profile for your line is - 1319 Kbps The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 3.77:1.97:94.3 (SBE:NBE:PBE) These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic. The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes. Upload speed achieved during the test was - 463 Kbps Additional Information: Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 863 Kbps I know there is many people on this forum who are brilliant let me find you!! please someone explain or help me... i hate not being able to play my games, the only time i can is early hours of the morning when everyone is asleep. Many thanks look forward to hearing from you soon Sam |
