I don't know where the post is you are referring to Mike, sorry.
![]() I take it you mean BLANK VHS tape in which case there is no such thing now as a 'stereo' tape, they are all compatable mono/stero/Nicam etc. I've just bought 5 TDK HS240 Video Tapes for £9.99 at Argos - I'm sure that there are even cheaper ones around too but as they were what I wanted (HS and 240) I was not bothered for only £9.99.

Ideal for maximising the potential performance of stereo broadcasts on your SVHS VCR. Excellent sound plus superior picture quality. This SVHS video cassette is specifically designed for use with camera recorders and VCRs bearing the SVHS mark. Cassettes recorded in the VHS mode cannot be played back with conventional VHS VCRS.
Hi Gem, The tapes I bought were for a SVHS video recorder TDK's E180 2 for £10. TDK XP 180. Now I am really confused MIKe

Hi Mike
Yes, you are corect and I'm wrong, sorry. Have a look at TDK's Web site, that shows the different types of video tapes - S-VHS, VHS and D-VHS. I use the HS240's for my Nicam Rec/player. Edit: I've just looked at the site/tapes in more detail and found that perhaps I should be using the XP's too! Oh dear.

No problem Gem.
SVHS tapes are not easy to comeby. I trawled the whole of our Town Centre and I only found 2. I wanted to record good Films over Christmas for archive purposes. Normally I use the basic Nicam tapes. Mike
