Is it just me or has something been happening with Virgin BB the last few days. I seem to have no problems with either speed or sites loading during the day but after 7 pm everything slows down or pages will not load.
It`s worse than dial up the last few evenings but nothing mentioned by virgin on their phone line except that some dial up people may be experiencing problems connecting.

I have already checked the speed and tweaked it with all the tools. The speed seems to be ok during the day but when the evening approaches virgin just goes down hill, sites that appear quickly during the day just don`t load. What I want to know is, is this just me with Virgin or are others suffering the same . If my set up was at fault then the problem would have been ongoing for a long tome. However this has just occurred in the last week. I

I had a similar problem with BTO not long ago. For about 4 days the speed in the evening was quite slow and if it hadn't improved I would have phoned them to complain.....luckily it did and things have been flying along since.
You may find that they are suffering a few minor contention issues at the moment and that they have either lost a piece of equipment due to faults or that they are preparing for the inclusion of something new. If it's not right after a total of 7 days then i'd be on to customer support enquiring as to why, for all you know they might not be aware of any problem at all. Thanks Onslo that`s what I intend to do. Your thoughts are similar to mine, I posted to see if others are suffering the same problems. However it`s typical of most ISP`s if they are upgrading or having problems why not tell its users. Its not as if they couldn`t send an email to all its users explaining some difficulties may be encountered over the next few days. Having said that the service has been pretty good with virgin for most of the time. Maybe they are suffering from success and have taken on a lot of new users, this seems a lesson that they all fail to learn. They have good service with a few users then get overwhelmed with a growth of users, now where have I heard that before?
