Default Imagine how poor birds feel

Was just sat in my house when the most almightiest noise-terrible
rumbled over.
I went out to have a look and couldn't believe it was a concorde plane-don't think they've ever come through manchester before

TBH,I thought it was planes that had been hijacked or something terrible like that as it sounded like it was very low.
wish i had of took a photo for it's last maiden voyage.

Have any of you ever saw a concorde before?(or been on one)

I do feel sorry for the birds though,it's not fair that a plane comprimises birds lives for extra speed.

imagine if it was flying at supersonic speed?

I used to live near Leeds/Bradford airport and Concorde flew about once a quarter there on sundays.
It was plane spotter city, very very impressive though

I think but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, that the problem is the Sonic Boom effect caused when the plane travels at Supersonic speed. It was agreed pretty early on, due to fevered campaigning, that Concorde would only fly at Supersonic speeds over sea or water, so though it is loud when coming into land, it is not classed as a real issue plus Concorde flights are nowhere near as frequent as the hundreds and thousands of other passenger jets which enter and depart our airports every day.

You should live here in Lincolnshire, we get fighter jets flying over all the time...enough to fair shake the tea from your cup!
