Hi, I used BT then BT Experimental and moved to Burst! cause I wanted to download simultaneously. I have a firewall with ports forwarded as recommended and download at up to 50kps depending on whether I have one download or two, but never get upload speeds of more than 12kbps even when seeding. Its usually 8-10kps. This means that as I can't wait forever before starting another download, I don't seed as much as I'd like to (I mean that) because if I continue seeding, my download speeds are then useless. I wait as long as I can but I don't really want to wait days!
I was able to achieve much better upload speeds with Experimental and altho I have tinkered with the upload speed boxes on Burst, it doesn't actually seem to bring any improvement. I must have had them on every speed possible by now lol! At present, if I wanted to seed completely a 400mb download, it would take a couple of days lol! Any ideas or websites I haven't found yet (one complaint, I haven't been able to find out much info on how to use Burst - Brian's FAQ is a teensy bit on the short side lol)! Perhaps its me.., but I am not sure how general Bit Torrent stuff will apply cause I've tried all that. |

I wouldnt worry too much about the upload speed, and wouild just cap it at a bit less that half (say around 7KB/s) The difference between 7 and 12 or even 16KB/s is minimal with many people seeding and leeching, the most important thing with BT is that a has at least one seeder, so at least 1 other person can finish the download, then you have 2 seeders, and so on.
