Default IPcop User or kernal mode for speedtouch 330

I did wonder what one to use kernal mode driver or user mode driver both work without any problems i have always used the user mode one as its first in the list.

But today i did some speed tests with it and it seems the user mode drivers are faster well in my test anyway, does anyone else get simlar results.

IPcop 1.4.2 speedtouch 330 rev 4 i get simlar speeds with rev 2 modem as well.

Had another go now on 1.4.6 2mb connection, you do seem to conect faster using the user mode setting , but if you look in your logs they both show different details about the conection.

You dont see this line with the usermode

08:44:30 modem_run[11326] ADSL line is up (2272 kbit/s down | 288 kbit/s up)
08:44:30 modem_run[11326] ADSL synchronization has been obtained

Anyway heres current speeds still showing user mode as the better option not much in it really

User mode
Downstream 1859 Kbps (232.4 KB/sec) 2007 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 248 Kbps (31.0 KB/sec) 267 Kbps (inc. overheads)

Kernal
Downstream 1847 Kbps (230.9 KB/sec) 1994 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 249 Kbps (31.1 KB/sec) 268 Kbps (inc. overheads)

User Mode
Downstream 1864 Kbps (233.0 KB/sec) 2013 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 248 Kbps (31.0 KB/sec) 267 Kbps (inc. overheads)
