Lol, I replied to a Tiscali part of the forum thining it was about Bulldog.... dope...
Well, damn, anyway heres the posting just to keep the spotlight well and truly on that self promoting ISP Bulldog that drastically needs improving. ************************************************* Heres mine now im on Bulldog (from pipex) http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/sp...d957415c04e15f Sometimes its ok, sometimes lame. Had problems initially as connected at 6.8mbps and http was dropping out constantly - Bulldog said it was because I am too close to the exchange and knocked it down to 4mb. Damn, I foked myself as I should have just used net limiter to constrain http and had the extra bandwidth for those other special needs :o) A mate is connecting at 8mb with Bulldog and seems to be ok with it. I still notice MANY drop outs and services dead such as EMAIL smtp servers completely going down for days and no automated updated phone recording to tell the users wtf is going on. Given up phoning them - they dont answer, you cannot even queue and they dont respond to emails. If I didnt use the sides of the net I wouldnt touch Bulldog if I just used http and smtp.pop3 as its WAY too much hassle and very frustrating to find the services down. Only was you can get through to Bulldog is through the Sales number, lol. The staff on sales must be sick of ppl trying to speak to someone that way - but it should NOT mean they should give out attitude when a disgruntled customer approaches that route. Bulldog staff on the whole seem under pressure and are quite unsympathetic. Anyhow, that again is my bit. Havent said anything for a while but thought Bulldog need more flaming in the hope they will get their act together quick. If another ISP does the same deal / no BT line rental thingy then I'm off to the new company rapid like. Bulldog really need to look after their existing customers but it looks quite obvious they are greedy and just spend resources getting new ppl to sign up and dont mind if they lose a few p1ssed off customers by the way side. Finally, lol, if you ever do get through to 'customer service' they arnt exactly overjoyed or appologise to have kept you waiting BUT if you ring their SALES its like they are giving out free cocaine to the staff and your their best buddy. Not a very honest customer facing Isp really. Well, peace all
