Hello,
I am about to call up Sky to get a new Sky TV Subscription [new dish, box and everything], for a new property, while I will keep my current sky subscription at my current address also. I remember seeing on TV some offer about referring a friend to SKY and getting some benefit as being the referral, but I can't quite remember what. I was wondering, does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to get the best deal from Sky? What should or could I use as my bargaining chip? Let me know your ideas.. I am about to call them soon. - Zage |

No ideas on getting a deal?
I spoke to Sky and the referal program was called 'introduce a friend offer', whereby you get someone to sign up for a free sky installation, and they send you a free Sky+ box (subscription is required but you get a free box worth £99 apparently). Thinking over it now, I am interested in the Sky HD and was wondering if there are any offers on getting High Definition. Maybe this is the wrong forum to be asking but someone might know. |

As far as I know there are no offers on Sky HD at the moment.
It makes them too much money! |

Tell them you are going to cancel your contract. A couple of my mates did exactly that and were immediately offered a much cheaper monthly rental for the same package.

Thanks for your posts.
I recently got a mail in the post from Curry's who were offering the Sky HD box for £149 (normally £299), since I had purchased a HD-Ready tv from them a little while ago. I just have to sign up in store with them to take the offer. I'd assume they are getting some commission from this from Sky, but it seems like a good deal. There is a deadline though, have to sign up by 24th December.. |
