Hi there,
I have a problem, i am an online gamer and play on steam quite a lot, esp. TF2. I have a homehub V1.5, with BTV and BBV, but whenever i play on steam the hoemhub reboots as it gets overwhelmed with connections from the gaming server. lots of other people are having this problem aswell. What i want to know is can i use my DG834 (non wireless model) to connect to my phone line, then create some static routes or something to connect my homehub to it, so the BTV and BBV will still work?? Ive been looking around and i think i may be at e dead end as i may need to downgrade the HH, and its not yet possible with a V1.5 Thankyou in advance John014 |

Are telnet and backup/restore config both disabled on the v1.5?
You can still use the hub as a wireless AP by disabling dhcp server. You might try rip; put both routers on the same lan subnet 192.168.0.0/24 Enable Rip on both routers, this will propagate the routes between routers Create more specific routes on the DG834 If you know the servers you need are at x.*.*.* then create a static route to x.0.0.0/8. Hopefully RIP will send this to the hub. Routing rules say this should be a better match than 0.0.0.0/0 and so should be used. |
