Default What can AOL do if payment is stopped?

What can AOL do if payment is stopped?

Ok setup is..
My friend has moved house AOl needs 10 working days to disconect old house then 10 working days to get service up & running again at new house..

My friend is so fed up with the service that has been give by aol from carphone took over they told aol that they were going to cancal the service today aol said we wil charge you but would not give a price the contract with aol ends in Dec...
Now my friend is talking about cancling & stopping the debit at the bank..
Aol don't have the new house line set up yet so its still free to go to a new isp..

What should my friend do get new isp & tell aol to get stuffed??

you understand the basic concept of a contract, yes?? if ur contracted till december then u have to pay till then, for better or worse. i understand u can cancel but will need to pay a termination fee, or which is depending on ur priceplan. it doesnt matter if aol is on ur phone line, u subscribed for a certain amount of time. if doesnt matter one bit if u use it or not.

Yes but aol haven't made a connection to the new line yet so it should be broadband free so any isp can connect to it.. yes??

by all means you can order broadband from another isp on your new line. but then you will be paying aol for nothing and ur new isp for the service on your new line. so uk be paying for 2 broadbands.. seems silly tbh. why not stick with aol till your contract expires, and then migrate over to a new isp.. could save u a few notes.
