Let's analyse the PRS Old Boys Group.

I will do the Krauts, you do the Tommies, ok?
I will not comment anything, I do just post what I know

Bodo M S* was one of the owners of German Phone Sex Giant "Solidus", now (people from Solidus are) trading (and collecting complaints) as "Vision Communication GmbH" --> Richard D*, another PRS Old Boy.

Bodo was said to be living in Southern France, close to Bertrand (F*?)
Bodo and his wife Uli had a dog called Joey (and Bertrand was mentioned there)

Bodo attended the "Eurowebtainment", a PRS/porn fair

Frank Chi Fai Ch* was (together with Bertrand F*) director of the danish "Mother of Phone Sex Companies" (IBC) (from there you can easily find the way to Teli Media Solution --> Sprungk again)

Mr Richard D* started his PR rate career in Hamburg at IBC Germany. I don't know if Bodo M Spr* was involved from the beginning...

Frank Chi Fai Ch* and Berrand F* started (together with Mr Andrew W*, also one of the Old Boys)
(Andrew W* --> Cellcast UK
Director Jean Michel Al* [One World --> Marco Pr*, former head of German voluntarily regulation] Director Craig G* Director Andrew Reginald Karl W* Director Philippe B* ) at "VISL" (formerly Cable & Wireless Hong Kong --> APT --> see: OPTUS vs APT).

Bertrand Folliet, CEO
Bertrand was formally the Chief Operating Officer of Jasdaq-listed e-Lux Corporation's key operating subsidiary in Hong Kong. Prior to that he was an executive director of the publicly listed Hong Kong company e-New Media. He was also Managing Director of e-New Media subsidiary New Media Corporation and Director of Operations of that company's predecessor, VISL, from August 1994 until December 1997. From April 1994 to August 1994, Bertrand was Senior Vice President of Matra-Hachette Multimedia On-line.

Andrew Wilson, Director of Business Development
Andrew most recently served as a director of the Tokyo based Jasdaq-listed e-Lux Corporation, prior to which he was an executive director of the publicly listed Hong Kong Company e-New Media. From 1989 to 1992, he was Joint Managing Director of Marketing Solutions, a subsidiary of DDB Needham. From November 1993 to July 1995, he was a director of the international telemedia services provider, VISL. Andrew is a founding member of the International Telemedia Association and a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
VISL started a billing concept called "dialer"

Hong Kong - Gross revenues processed by the NetCharger Internet billing and micropayments solution, operated by e-New Media Co Limited (stock code: HK0128), grew by 258% in the second half of 1999, as compared to the first half of the year. Gross revenues were US $8.12 million.

e-New Media's proprietary international NetCharger solution offers an alternative payment method to dial-up Internet users by allowing them to 'charge' products and services to their local telephone bills.

The company said today it has completed the proof of concept phase after working with a group of entertainment and information services, and will be aggressively marketing NetCharger to content providers and e-commerce services in the coming months.
"In addition to our billing and micropayments solutions for dial-up Internet users, billing solutions for content providers in the broadband environment are being developed by our research team in Hong Kong and California," added Carl Gunell.
Carl Gunell, an Old Boy, too

--- end of facts ---

Mr Mike N* was on the board of Cellcast Group
Mike Neville
Non-executive Director
Michael Neville has extensive experience in capital markets and is a director of a number of public and private companies. He is currently chairman of Felix Group plc, World Television Group plc and Minmet plc, all AIM companies. His background is in the telecommunications, technology and media arena, where he has worked for the last 17 years specialising in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and turn around situations. He has worked for companies such as Cable & Wireless, United Utilities, Ozemail Interline Pty and OnCue Telecommunications Limited, where he has been involved in large and small scale fund raisings as well as numerous merger and acquisitions transactions in various parts of the world.
Felix Group did run "Everyone's a winner", using a PO Box in Great Dunmow (via TLC Marketing)

The same postbox was used by crooks that did trick (hundreds of?) thousands of Germans in 2005 ("you have won... dial..."). The German PR numbers used have been used by companies, among them you could find (several) companies (more or less) directly related to people mentioned within that posting.

The German companies said, a UK company was responsible: Buzzme Solutions, address: 40 gerrard. you know that...
The UK company said, a BVI company was responsible. You know that...
http://www.160characters.org/news.ph...=view&nid=1118
Mr Kidd added: "The UK has a large and innovative premium rate industry used by broadcasters, charities, mobile content providers and others. This sort of action not only harms the consumer, but also the premium rate industry itself. We will continue to act to prevent this sort of activity and punish those responsible."
No. No. No comment...

The director of buzzme had another company, together with Mr Nigel T* - the former CEO of "One World Interactive"

One World --> Jean Al* -->Marco Pr*
I guess Marco Pr* will be my next Kraut
http://telemedianetwork.ning.com/profile/MarcoPriewe but... ooops... he is not one of the "Old Boys". Lucky Marco.

A television programme that charges viewers for advice from so-called psychics is today exposed by a Mail on Sunday investigation as a cynical sham which is operating in apparent breach of broadcasting guidelines.

Psychic Interactive, which can be seen by millions of Sky TV subscribers, encourages people to consult its psychics on premium-rate phone lines, charging up to £1.70 a minute.
(...)
The company behind Psychic Interactive is Cellcast plc, whose management team made £2. million last month when they floated on the stock market one fifth of their stake, or ten per cent of Cellcast's total value.

Its directors are all university educated and hold similar positions with other companies in the media and telecoms sectors.
Cellcast was founded by Andrew Wilson, 44, who is the chief executive, and Frenchman Dr Bertrand Folliet, 39, the chief operating officer.
They didn't know the whole truth...

The company produces a host of interactive programmes, including Grab A Grand, Text2Date and Reverse Auction, during which viewers make calls or send text messages using premium rate numbers to communicate with the presenter and participants.

Asked about Psychic Interactive last night, Mr Wilson said: 'I have nothing to do with bringing out that particular programme. I am comfortable with it as long as the show is compliant.'
Pilate is washing his hands.

Telecom One once had a legal dispute with German "Deutsche Telekom". Mr N* has been so proud to win the dispute...

Take a look, interesting stuff

Mr Naughton states that Telecom One trade marks were being used several months before the establishment of TOL by an affiliated Hong Kong company called Telecom One Limited. The Hong Kong company has operated since May 1997 in the same market sector as TOL. (...)

Here is another interesting Old Boy, invited by Skytelemedia-Craig:
After graduating from the University of New Mexico on an athletics scholarship, Steve Sladovnik joined E. & J. Gallo, where he was top district representative in his first year. After Gallo, Steve launched his own consumer marketing company and in 1993 he established VISL's call center in Santiago, Chile with infrastructure supplied by Carl Gunell€™s ITS. He has managed the Company's evolution in Latin America from voice service bureau to the continent's leading mobile content organization, negotiating Telemedia€™s agreements with content owners and publishers, secured connectivity and billing with operators, and partnered with media brands throughout the region. Steve has overall responsibility for Telemedia's relationships with its clients.
Gunells ITS. Thanx.

Does George Kidd remember Greenock SL?

Taking action under recently implemented European ecommerce regulations, ICSTIS fined Greenock £75,000 and dished out a £50,000 slap to Premium Call GmbH.
It has also barred access to both services for two years and both operators have also been reported to the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit.

A fine of £75,000 was imposed against Greenock. A fine of £50,000 was imposed against Premium Call GmbH. The services were barred for 2 years. The service providers were instructed to offer redress. Alan Scott is a friend of Neil Penny (former chair of AIME - formerly NOC), colleague of Tony Kelly, and friend of James McAteer (who works for Tanla but who registered the 2Comm Domain Name).

Alan Scott and Tony Kelly used to work for 3business with Ian Vaughan (former flying instructor - see also here )

3business.com = MMs3

There are a few people out there who are rather unhappy with this firm.

3Business also ran the One Goal Ltd scam.

Alan Scott J'Accuse!

She is account manager at "Atlas Interactive", apparently from Buenos Aires.

Shouldn't GEORGE KIDD be invited to join the PRS Old Boys Group?

or this one:

Present:
Barry Hall - C&W

Kidd and Whiteing, the sheriff and his deputy - I hope they had a good conversation with the Old Boys.

Grumbletext's analysis of information on both the ICSTIS and Grumbletext websites has revealed that it is indeed only a handful of network operators actively engaged in this grubby business. At the time of writing, 85% of all premium rate landline-based complaints on Grumbletext are accounted for by clients of the following five companies:
Redstone PLC 27.9%
Intelliplus Group PLC 22.2%
Opera Telecom 13.1%

Switch Call Limited 11.9%
Tiscali UK Limited 10.6%

In a comment by Mike there is Alex Robson quoted
This is what by Alex Robson had to say on March 26, 2008 at 11:56pm:

Old Boys club? Starting to look more like an ICSTIS [the old name for PhonePayPlus] rouges (sic)gallery !

You should date your 1st fine to be a member. I remember it was £450 and something to do with Darren Platt. Costs £1,200 now for them to send you an e-mail with allegations now. LOL
For those of you who do not know who DARREN PLATT is...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/south...scamming.shtml

Owners of mobile telephones across the country have been inundated by unwanted text messages informing them they have won £400.
...
Inside Out traced some of these unwanted text messages to Z Max Phone Services of Bournemouth and KT Promotions of Cheltenham.

Both companies have been sending out text messages telling people they have won a huge cash prize.

Details of the companies' addresses were supplied by Nexus to the regulator. But when we visited the addresses, they proved to be false.

The contact telephone number for Z Max Phone Services was also the same for KT Promotions.
A breach of guidelines

ICSTIS director George Kidd says Mr Platt has breached the guidelines both as a service provider and a network operator.
Chris Packham with a giant phone
Chris Packham hangs on… and on. Calls can take up to five minutes and can cost as much £7.50. but there is seldom a big cash prize

"It's a problem if you have an individual who has been involved as a service provider, who knows how it works," explains Mr Kidd.

"And then as a network operator is prepared to allow other people to do the same thing which he knows is intolerable to us because he has been prosecuted for the very same offence."

Mr Kidd continues, "When it comes to Darren Platt, who has been operating these services, and is also a network operator, the phrase "should have known better" comes to mind."
ref.
OFCOM vs NEXUS
http://www.ofcom.org.uk/bulletins/co...ed_all/cw_829/

Mr Kidd... you should have known better comes to MY mind whenever I'm thinking of YOU...!!!

Wasn't Darren Platt, together with M*** S*** P***, Patrick Naughton and Antony Redfern, one of the early managers with TELECOM ONE???

[edit: I have not found any link or proof for Darren Platt being with Telecom One, but I'm quite sure... But as long as I can't remember where I know that from you have to read it with a big ???]

You could look into Premium Rate Scam Topics from wherever you want - you are always able to trace it back to the orbit of the same old mob.
And if Mr Kidd really is trying to say that he didn't know that for very very long - then this guy must be - I'm sorry - completely MERKBEFREIT.

horsewhip! horsewhip! horsewhip!

among the friends of Mr Robson you find Mr Craig Gardiner and Mr Anthony Rees

Sky Telemedia, Craig Gardiner
Telecom 1, Anthony Rees (was he ever at T1 together with Platt? Don't know)

ABOUT US
TeleBilling Ltd. is a European telephone billing company with branches all over Europe, offering services to more than seven million customers. There are a variety of telephone services offered including the following:

Frequently Asked Questions

5. Why is the bill in my name when I do not own the phone (or I didn't make the calls)?

1. If a minor has used the telephone they would have been asked to nominate an adult to receive the bill on their behalf. (a block can be placed on your telephone number if required)

2. If the telephone is yours and you are unaware of the calls made from it, you are still responsible for any debt that is incurred by your telephone.
rememember IBC Telecom Billing Systems / they were/are a European telephone billing company with branches all over Europe /is there any easy connection?
http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/busin...p?cmd=3&id=433
Background

A complaint was received from a London primary school about the receipt of explicit promotional material for live adult services, which was sent in the post along with an invoice for the alleged use of adult services on a geographical London number.

The primary school stated that whilst the geographical number had been briefly called in error (a misdial) no-one had taken part in adult services and no-one had consented to receive promotional material for adult premium rate services.

It's not that easy. Simplified you can say:

Cable & Wireless Hong Kong (1) (2) (3) (4) --> Cellcast / Atlas (1) (4)
and
IBC (2) (4) ~ Telebilling
and
Cable & Wireless Hong Kong (1) (2) (3) (4) ~ IBC (1) (2) (4)

Craig Gardiner
Andrew Wilson (1)
Frank CF Cheung (2)
Carl Gunell (3)
Bertrand Folliet (4)
Jens Haxgart
Tom Horsey (Sevilla)

Did you know that I once had a girl named Susanne? Ooooh I really loved her, but she left me for a damned frenchman from Aix-en-provence (or was it Dijon? Memory is a bitch). Oh no. This is not what I wanted to tell you. Here we have Susanne Torz. Who is she?

Her name sounds German
Her only friend is Anthony Rees http://telemedianetwork.ning.com/friends/SusanneTorz
She says she is in Cyprus.

Who is she???

PIT LTD. 20 Queen Frederica Street, El Greco House, Nicosia Cyprus.
Tel: +357 22873 907 Fax:+357 22873 909 Email: susanne@phoneimpact.com
Strange company... Nameserver is in Israel, could make sense - contact number is in Tuvalu, never heard anything 'bout that company, although they say they are in the biz since 1995.
http://www.phoneimpact.com/i_services.html

worth a closer look. But I always keep on thinking about my Susanne whenever I read Susanne. It keeps me from being interested in PR scammers all the time. Susanne makes me think of Ploumanac'h. Have you ever been there? One of the most wonderful places I know - except of Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland - of course. And Preikestolen in Norway.

Ooops. off topic today.

A few days ago there was a new complaint against "Worldwide Venture Limited" because of spam ("you have won... dial..."). A German company said "They rented PRN from us". The managers of that company are identical to the directors of "Ina Service", the former company of Mr Priewe (who is now with Cellcast/Atlas).
On a website owned by MP himself "Worldwide venture limited" was named as the company offering a "Handychat" with Premium-texts (from Ina).
So, Mr Priewe is not a member of the "Old Boys". But he is worth to be mentioned. Maybe he cannot join the Group because he never got a fine from the Regulator - in Germany, Priewe WAS the "regulator"

Parliamentary Dinner – 18 October 2005

A dinner hosted by Alun Michael MP, minister of State for Industry & the Regions, and Sir Peter North of ICSTIS. The invitees were a select band and included NOC, City of London Police, Vodafone, BT and others and was declared to operate under ‘Chatham Rules’ hence nothing said at the meeting could be quoted but an open exchange of views was ensured.

It was an encouraging session with widespread support for a healthy, valuable and responsible PRS Industry but managed in a collaborative fashion with a light regulatory hand.

“From an NOC perspective I was greatly encouraged to see us moving in this direction at long last and I am confident that we will see continuing change in the way PRS is regulated to the benefit of us all and including ICSTIS,” said Roy Ellyatt.
Roy forgot to mention the close relationship his 'industry' has with the police

Edit for reasons i don't fully understand this NOC pr release doesn't 'google'

Usually I manage to get the data back using a bunch of fine utilities. But this time the problem is different (MFT corrupt, MFT mirror corrupt). It would be possible, of course, to re-install Windows and Copernic Desktop Search (the program I use to find a needle in the haystock) and start again on the basis of the May 08 Backup (one of the hardest losses would be the Telemedia Network Mirror I have made - I cannot remember the date when I mirrored it, maybe it was BEFORE I backuped the archive, I hope so...) - but I am still trying to fix the MFT problem.

At the moment I have installed Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) and "Helix" (Knoppix based collection of forensic software) and try to understand Linux. If I will not succeed within the next week I will send image copies of my hard disk to my friends that offered help.

If anyone could give me any advice I would be glad - the rest of you may just keep the fingers crossed
