Just installed the Enterprise Version of Office 2007. Using all other programs well. Initially Outlook was fine. All of a sudden today, after a couple of days with the new program, when sending out an e-mail, the e-mail gets held up in my outbox. Looks like it is going nowhere but recipients are getting like 20 copies of each e-mail I send out.
This evening I started getting multiple copies of replies to those sent out earlier. The error message says (ox80042109), and that it is impossible to connect to the server for outgoing mail (SMTP)....etc. etc. Not sure what to do. I have McAfee that has kept me pretty clean over the past year. Any help would be so great. |

I am getting the same thing and a firend has also had the problem, always with attachments. It appears like it is common with Outlook 2007, an email hangs up in the outbox and sends never ending emails.
Anybody have a fix? |

Me too!! An email with 1MB+attachement gets stuck in the outbox, and the recipient receives many copies of the email (sometimes without the attachement).
I have changed the scheduled automatic send/receive from my setting of 5 minutes to 30 minutes. (go to Tools/Options/Mail Setup/Send-Receive). Perhaps when you press "Send/Receive" to send an email with an attachment, and an auto send/receive starts before the email is sent, the auto send/receive starts to resend anything in the Outbox? - hence recipients get multiple copies? I have tried sending an email with a large attachment to a webmail address, and with these revised settings only one copy was received, although the email was still stuck in Outlook 2007's Outbox, even though the email had been received at the webmail address! If anyone has an explanation / solution, please let us know. |

I also have had the Outbox hangup problem with Outlook 2007 and Windows Mail. I still don't know how to fix it, but most of the time the Outbox will reach a state (sometimes indicated by a brief "flash" or reset of the page on the screen) and you can then drag and drop the mail out of the Outbox into the Deleted Items. I would really like to know what the fix is. I am creating problems for some of my business clients, and it is embarassing to me. This will probably be my last PC and version of Office 2XXX. They have ruined Office with the 2007 version.

I'm running Office Professional 2007 (upgraded from 2003) with McAfee on three PC's (2 laptops one on XP other of Vista Ultimate) and desktop on XP with no problems at all - and all sending/receiving email for multiple a/c's.
Oh,both office and McAfee are 3 license software.
